Privacy policy
This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website, why, and what rights you have. The German version is authoritative.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Andreas ScheibelIn der Börsiglache 877723 GengenbachGermany
Phone: +49 155 61817531Email: info@andelo.de
Andelo is the brand under which Andreas Scheibel offers services.
2. General information
This website does not use any analytics or marketing services, tracking or profiling. When you visit our pages, no content is loaded from third-party servers: there are no embedded videos, maps, external fonts or external chat services. The website serves its own logos, images and fonts. The only exception is the Cal.com scheduling view, which is loaded only after you request it yourself (section 6).
Your connection to this website is encrypted using HTTPS.
Personal data is never sold. It is only shared where this is necessary for technical operation, for example with providers of server, email or scheduling services, or where there is a legal obligation to do so. No automated decision-making takes place.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on server infrastructure administered by Andreas Scheibel. A web server placed in front of it (reverse proxy) receives requests and passes them on to the application.
When you open a page, your browser necessarily sends data to the server. The following details in particular may be recorded in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- address requested and type of request
- response status code and amount of data transferred
- previously visited page (referrer), if your browser sends it
- browser type and operating system (user agent)
This data is processed to deliver the website, keep it running reliably and securely, and detect errors or misuse. It is not combined with other data sources or analysed for advertising or analytics purposes.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating the website securely and without errors.
The application logs are limited in size, and older entries are overwritten automatically. Web server log data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above and then deleted.
4. Language choice and the “andelo_locale” cookie
When you open the home page, your browser’s language setting determines whether the German or English version is shown. Nothing is stored in the process.
Only if you choose a language yourself using the language switcher in the header is a cookie called “andelo_locale” set. It contains nothing but the value “de” or “en” and makes sure the website appears in your chosen language on your next visit. The cookie is valid for one year. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
The cookie is not used to recognise individuals, for tracking or for profiling. If you do not choose a language yourself, no cookie is set. This website does not use any other cookies.
The cookie is stored on the basis of Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as it is strictly necessary for a function you have explicitly requested: remembering your language choice. Where personal data is processed in this context, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in respecting your language choice.
5. Contact by email
You can reach us by email at info@andelo.de. The links on this website open your own email program for this. There is no contact form.
When you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message in order to deal with your enquiry. Emails are received and stored by the email service used for the andelo.de domain. The same applies to any details you give us if you contact us by phone.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or steps prior to entering into one. In all other cases it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering your enquiry.
6. Booking appointments with Cal.com
To book the free introductory call, we use Cal.com, a scheduling service provided by Cal.com, Inc., based in the USA.
Nothing from Cal.com is loaded and no data is sent to Cal.com when you simply visit our pages. Only when you submit the short form on the “Process automation” page does your browser load the Cal.com scheduling view, connecting to Cal.com’s servers in the process. The scheduling view then appears embedded on this page.
So that you do not have to enter your details again, your name, email address, company and short description of the process are passed to Cal.com when it loads. Technically this happens as part of the address of the embedded booking page; these details do not appear in your browser’s address bar. The form details are not stored on this website.
In the scheduling view you choose a time and the type of call. Cal.com processes the details you enter or confirm there, in particular your name, email address, company, the chosen time, your phone number if you choose a phone call, your notes and any additional guests. Cal.com also receives technical data such as your IP address when the scheduling view loads. Cal.com sends the booking confirmation by email and adds the appointment to our Apple (iCloud) calendar.
After a completed booking, the embedded scheduling view only tells this page that a booking has been created, so that we can show you the confirmation. We do not use this signal for analytics or advertising.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the booking is made at your request as a step prior to a possible working relationship.
Cal.com processes the booking data on our behalf as a processor. Data is processed in the USA in the process. For transfers from the EU, Cal.com states that it relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We delete booking data once it is no longer needed to hold and follow up on the call and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Andelo Assistant in preview mode
On most pages of this website you can open the Andelo Assistant, a chat window for questions about Andelo. It is currently a preview. No AI model is connected.
If you choose one of the suggested questions, you receive a prepared answer compiled from the content of this website. Questions you type yourself currently only receive a prepared notice.
To do this, your browser sends the question, the previous messages in this chat window and the selected language to this website’s server. There, the request is processed solely to produce the answer. The content is not passed on to AI providers or any other third parties, not stored in a database and not logged by the application. Answers are delivered with an instruction not to cache them.
The conversation exists only in the open browser window. The assistant does not set cookies and uses neither localStorage nor sessionStorage. Reloading the page or switching language clears the conversation.
Please do not enter confidential or personal information in the chat.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in answering questions about our services.
8. Locally hosted fonts
This website uses the Inter typeface, which is served directly by this website. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font service.
9. External links
This website contains links to websites run by other providers, for example for reference projects. Loading the pages of this website does not transfer any data to these providers. Only when you click a link does your browser open the other website. The respective provider is responsible for any data processing there.
10. Legal bases
Depending on the purpose, processing is based on:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries and appointment bookings relating to a contract or steps prior to entering into one
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where statutory retention obligations apply
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for secure technical operation, answering other enquiries and the Andelo Assistant
- Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG for storing the language cookie after you choose a language yourself
Consent is not requested, because no processing on this website is based on consent.
11. Retention
Personal data is only stored for as long as necessary for the purpose concerned or as required by statutory retention periods.
- Server log files: as described in section 3
- “andelo_locale” cookie: one year, unless you delete it sooner
- Emails: until your enquiry has been fully dealt with, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply
- Appointment bookings: as described in section 6
- Andelo Assistant: not stored
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20).
Where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
For any of these requests, simply send an email to info@andelo.de.
13. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for Andreas Scheibel is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg).
14. Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy will be updated whenever the website or the services it uses change. The version published here applies.
